16 Strands

€4,200.00

‘16 Strands’ is a water feature inspired by marram grass.

This sculpture uses copper, galvanised steel and raw steel to create blades that are gently curved and upward pointing. These elements have movement at their core and are set into a circular pond of aluminium creating dynamic visual reflections. The mix of materials will age, giving contrast and be an elegant figure giving unique shadows and reflections. each strand is modular, fitting onto a stainless bolt to create a good mechanical fix. There are 16 elements from 55cm to 100cm high. The aluminium base, with brass rim is painted black and submerged under water.

Material: copper, raw steel, galvanised steel, brass and aluminium.
