Celestial Receptor no. 1
Celestial Receptor no. 1 was designed as a sculpture for an outdoor garden, as a piece that birds can inhabit and land on. The name comes from this function, and also how it invokes the image of an antenna waiting for electrical waves. The piece has green glass beads on the right side points, which reflects light and brings harmony between the industrial materials and the intended garden environment. The hand-crafted brass pieces on the left side of the piece adds a balance and contrast to the glass elements. The base of this piece is a retired railway sleeper.
The piece is created by formed steel I-beams that have been welded together. This piece is fully galvanised and therefore weatherproof.
The piece has a galvanised steel finish, with green and brass elements.
Materials: Galvanised steel, aluminium, 2k galvanised compatible paint.
Dimensions: 142 x 50 x 20cm
Weight: 21kg
