Gorm Buí was designed as a sculpture for an outdoor garden, as a piece that birds can inhabit and land on. It has some extruded aluminium pieces in their natural anodised finish, which give it a kind of a dynamic. The base of this piece is a retired railway sleeper.
The piece is created by formed steel I-beams that have been welded together. This piece is fully galvanised and therefore weatherproof.
Gorm Buí translates to blue yellow in Irish and this piece hopes to give a bit of sky and sun to a garden.
