Inish

€575.00

‘Inish’ is the Irish word for island. The main piece is suspended from the stand, hanging under gravity. This piece was found on the Donegal coast.I think it is an enameled piece, similar to old cookers or signage.

The force of the sea crushed its shape, leaving the material to gain a personality of its own as an object of savage beauty. As an artist I do not manipulate the material much tending to enhance and preserve it in its natural form.

I hope appreciators can experience this piece for its rawness and truth.

Size in cm: 57 x 22 x 9

Materials: Corroded, enamelled steel, base of tubular steel with resin and brass filling and steel rod.
